Italmatch strengthens its presence in Flame Retardants market
The specialty chemical company starts the construction of its second Flame Retardants production facility in China
Italmatch Chemicals, a leading innovative group specialised in performance additives chemicals, has started construction of new Flame retardant line in China, where the company already has 3 facilities.
Italmatch invented in year 2005 a novel flame retardant technology, under the Phoslite® brand, based on inorganic phosphinates. During the last 17 years new Phoslite® applications have been continuously developed and covered by Intellectual Property. The new expansion project aims to mainly enlarge the Phoslite® product range capacity and will serve domestic as well as overseas markets.
The new multipurpose plant, based in the Southern part of China, will increase the existing total capacity for Halogen Free Flame Retardants installed in Spoleto (Italy) and Nantong (China). Plant startup is scheduled for next year 2023.
The new Investment is aligned with the Company strategy to continue to serve the increasing demand in environmentally friendly Flame Retardants, particularly for the Electrical and Electronic sector, including E-mobility.
Our Flame Retardant team will join the K Fair in Dusseldorf and will be available to talk with clients about Phoslite® brand and its applications.
