SAP Spend Connect Innovation Day: Italmatch’s digital transformation strategies and roadmap

Italmatch Chemicals was invited at the SAP Spend Connect Innovation Day conference, organized by SAP in Milan (Italy). With an extensive agenda of market experts and companies’ executives, the event focused on the latest innovations and digitalization for sustainable procurement and supply chain processes.

Maurizio Turci, Italmatch Group General Manager Corporate, and Daniela Battistelli, Head of ICT, attended the event and discussed Italmatch’s roadmap and strategies about digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence.

“Over the years, we have moved from a business proximity model to an integrated digitalization model – commented Maurizio Turci during his speech – A constant push towards a digital framework which deals with a series of processes within our organization, from procurement to business operations. This digital transformation has also been possible thanks to a broader process of change management. Italmatch has changed its approach, moving towards digital models and our current ethical model, based on the integration of human and technological resources, as well as reverse mentoring and collaboration“.

“Speaking of artificial intelligence, Italmatch is taking its first steps – added Daniela Battistelli – We have started to define our guidelines, in order to follow a conscious path in the implementation of these new technologies. The aim of the project will be to maximize the benefits and mitigate the risks, through rigorous governance and transparent collaboration with all our stakeholders, to spread AI usage to all functions of the company“.
